Incase Marc by Marc Jacobs Sparks Snap Case for iPhone 5

Marc Jacobs heard our call! There are beautiful, new iPhone 5 cases on the market. I plucked this beauty up directly from the Apple Store. Designed by Marc Jacobs and made by Incase, this Sparks Snap Case in Lemon Custard is full of demure custard-yellow sparkles on a gray background. For being a bright piece, it is certainly subdued.

Though sturdy as its predecessors, if you drop it the wrong way you could be out about $39. I always go for Marc by Marc Jacobs pieces, but if you know you are clumsy with your phone, I'd always recommend getting a stronger, shock-absorbent case. This is just a snap-on shell. To reiterate, it isn't shoddily made. It's a great case, but consider how you use your phone. Always a fair warning. :)

The Snap Case doesn't add much weight or bulk to your phone. You can easily slip it into your pocket or bag, and it'll definitely turn heads come spring and summertime! Additional styles of the Marc by Marc Jacobs Incase snap cases are available at the Apple Store or Incase.

Woven Wonders of Spring/Summer 2013

Woven Wonders of Spring/Summer 2013

Look at these beautiful bags! Some of the most iconic trends of this upcoming Spring 2013 season are jacquard and woven prints and textures.

The classic Fendi Peekaboo bag is reinvented in a woven style, available in orange and navy. Completely iconic, this slouchy bag is beautiful and fresh for the spring (but can definitely take you through the fall)! Definitely a head-turner in either color.

Louis Vuitton put out a bright, classy yet funky line of handbags and accessories. They revamped their Damier in a variety of bag styles--mostly smaller top-handle bags that are variations on the Speedy, some clutches, and small square luggage-style purses. The pieces in the cognac brown are my favorite; with the perfect outfit (this being my ultimate favorite), it is appears to be a delicate piece with a dose of practicality, too. It's certainly big enough for an iPad, magazines and your extra essentials.

Marc Jacobs additionally contributed to this spring trend with his Marc by Marc Jacobs Mini Marc'd & Check'd Printed Satchel. This particular style also comes in a larger size, if the Mini isn't your cup of tea. Other pieces in his SS13 collection are vaguely reminiscent of his work in his Marc Jacobs line and also in Louis Vuitton.

These are just a few examples of this skyrocketing spring trend. See any other designers invoking this trend? Post it below!

Marc by Marc Jacobs "Wild at Heart" iPhone 4/4S Snap Case

Even though I know everyone won't switch immediately to the iPhone 5 (NB: I know I will :) ), I still want to post about this absolutely gorgeous Marc by Marc Jacobs iPhone 4/4S case.

Marc by Marc Jacobs iPhone 4/4S Case

I hope that Marc Jacobs will reissue this case for the iPhone 5 because not only is it beautiful but it is so reliable! I've dropped my phone a few times, on concrete nonetheless, and the phone case only had a minor chip and overall rendered no damage to the phone! With the case on, the iPhone looks and feels slim, and is the tightest fitting case I own. Probably one of the best purchases I've made recently.

...Until the iPhone 5 that is. ;)

Are you getting the new iPhone 5?

Marc by Marc Jacobs Marci 36MM Rose Gold Watch

Beck, Modest Mouse, and Cage the Elephant--oh my!

I was recently in New York for Governors Ballmusic festival, and was lucky to find a great pickup at the Marc by Marc Jacobs store in SoHo. I've been on the prowl for a rose gold watch for a while, but I haven't found one that quite tickled my fancy. The Marc by Marc collection rose gold watches are very nice, but most of them have the brand name plastered all around the face of the watch in bright whites or in colors. Personally, I'd rather have something that is not as loud or self-advertising. I was lucky to have found the perfect watch in Manhattan!

This Marci36MM Rose Gold watch is discreet with its circular, mirror-like watch face, and same-tone brand name which acts in place of normal watch face numbers. It's also sleek with its linked-chain band. It's very comfortable to wear, and when worn in heat, it doesn't make you sweat too intensely. The band is smooth, the watch made out of stainless steel, and doesn't cause irritation, which is important as I have extremely sensitive skin. Overall, it's a beautiful piece, and is as eye-catching as it is discreet.

What kind of watch is on your wish list?
