'80s Baby: Louis Vuitton Epi Noé

'80s Baby: Louis Vuitton Epi Noé

My local consignment shop posted their latest additions on Facebook earlier this afternoon. Immediately after I saw this beauty, I high-tailed it over to the store. I had to make sure I got to it before anybody else!

This is only my second "pre-loved" bag that I've purchased. So as you can tell, I'm partial to purchasing new. But there's something special about vintage pieces! The Noé in Epi is no longer in production, so it made this bag all the more desirable. Luckily, the bag came from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It didn't have an unpleasant odor, which is fantastic considering the bag is almost 23 years old. The bag is large enough to fit an iPad, but just barely. An iPad mini would be better suited for this bag, as well as smaller accouterments.

This Louis Vuitton blue Epi Noé was made in France in 1989. Being just a few months younger than I am, it's in fantastic condition (not that I'm old or anything...). :) It is such a perfect bag for the summer!

Stay tuned soon for a post about what to know about pre-loved bags and the world of consignment!

Hermès Narrow Balcons du Guadalquivir Enamel Bracelet

Hermès Narrow Balcons du Guadalquivir Enamel Bracelet

Hermès never ceases to impress. In addition to scarves, my other favorite collectibles are enamel bracelets!

The fun thing about collecting the narrow enamels is that they are easily stackable to create a classy, eclectic look. And they seriously stand up to daily use. I wear my Brandebourgs enamel daily, and you can't tell its age (almost one year old).

Hermes Balcons

Part of the Fall/Winter 2012 collection, the Balcons du Guadalquivir bracelets are on their way out. So if you love this pattern and see it in the boutique, I'd highly suggest pulling the trigger on the purchase.

This piece matches a scarf and handbag combo that I've been trying to further accessorize. Points for any readers who can point out the designer/collection that the bracelet rests upon in the comments!

It was nearly a story of love and loss, because I almost waited too long! It was the last in my size. Without flinching, I said to my wonderful SA, "This was meant to be!"

What are your favorite accessory collectibles?

Beauties in Blue: Kelsi Dagger Erna Pumps

Happy New Year! I hope everyone has had a great holiday season and are settling into beautiful, new 2013.

These beautiful Kelsi Dagger Erna pumps were found on a Gilt sale a few weeks ago. Sadly, I couldn't get them in time for New Years Eve, but they will prove to be lovely shoes for a party or other special occasion.

Though my feet are currently ailing from blisters via other new shoes worn during NYE (ladies, how do you get past the awful blister stage with new shoes?? I need all the help I can get.), I cannot wait to get my newly healed feet back in these beauties. Recommended to size a half down, the Erna pumps are the perfect height for a novice heel wearer like myself. The midsize heel is perfect for parties because not only are they stunning but they are comfortable and easy to get around in. Perfect for your next color-block outfit, these are going to be timeless yet trendy pumps.

Louis Vuitton Kusama Pumpkin Dots Stole

Louis Vuitton Kusama Pumpkin Dots Stole

When I finally fell in love with this stole, there were only two left in the country! This Yayoi Kusama for Louis Vuitton stole is perfect to tuck into a nice fall jacket to keep you warm while also staying chic. Available in blue and green, this "pumpkin dots" pattern from Kusama adds a great dynamic to an outfit--especially for a professional look. When spread to its fullest, the fabric is delicate and thin, but together it is resilient and full. I'm so excited for fall to come into full form!
