When I saw Moda Operandi was having a trunk show for Clare Vivier, I was so excited. I first received a Vivier clutch as a Christmas gift the year before, and I really enjoy it for going to casual parties or even running errands. Read more!

Just launched on 1 January, 2014, this pochette by Louis Vuitton is the perfect way to start the new year! Retailing at $1,000USD, this stunning pochette is an extension of the W bag, which has been a recent hit among Vuitton collectors and handbag enthusiasts.
The W tote retails for over $4,000 and has two options in most styles--the PM or the GM. For the price point and the practicality, I highly recommend this piece for your accessories collection.
With similar design to its bigger brother, the W tote, this style has Chocolate Veau Cachemire calfskin and monogram canvas.
The interior is practical and spacious for a pochette. Its calf leather lining includes six card slots and a pouch inside, perfect for receipts and cash. The pochette easily turns into a wallet, and is large enough to fit an iPad mini inside the main compartment. It can easily fit an iPhone inside. I would only recommend fitting one device inside as to not stretch the pochette.
As you can see from the side, even when filled with an iPad Mini, credit cards, tissues, cash, and receipts, it is comfortable and not overly stuffed. It is quite the chic and practical accessory, with a loop to carry it on the hand. The W Pochette measures at 10.6" x 7.1". It is perfect for running errands and also for a night out with friends!
Getting this W Pochette was a great start to the new year! I've already used it a bunch of times for both errands and a night out in Manhattan with a best girlfriend of mine. I must add that it particularly came in hand whenever I had to carry two Starbucks lattes out of the store along with a hot pretzel--the pochette just dangled freely from my wrist, making the task so simple. I'm not a clutch kind of gal, but this pochette converted me! I'm usually one to go for big bags and totes, but I've been trying to downsize. And the W Pochette is my favorite new small accessory!
Oh, Rebecca Minkoff, what you do to me!
This is truly a handbag love story. But it doesn't turn out like Romeo & Juliet; it rather ends happily. I have seriously been lusting over this bag for months. There were multiple times I could have purchased it, but it just wasn't the right time. And an accessories addict has to budget themselves. For so long I thought that I had 'lost' the bag. It was no longer available on the Minkoff website, and I hadn't seen it in stores. As a veteran of handbag sales, I know that sometimes you get a second chance and sometimes it is gone as quickly as it was available. Despite my multiple chances, I just couldn't bring myself to buy it for financial reasons. Girl has to eat--am I right?
Luckily, the purse gods blessed me with a Gilt sale on Minkoff bags not too long ago, and I finally grabbed this fun cross-body nearly 50% off retail price. Sometimes it is truly good to wait!
I genuinely enjoy this bag since it's large enough to fit a book or iPad, and room for other small accouterments. M.A.C. Clutches are great for concerts, touring, and for the quick jaunts into town.
The first week of December is already coming to a close, and the holiday retail rush is still in full-swing with two days to go until Hanukkah begins and the remaining two weeks before Christmas!
Are you ready?! If not, The Shoulder Strap has some great picks for you that are sure to make your loved ones happy! In this list are classics and useful neutrals to carry you through the formal holiday season and also throughout the year.

"Here comes the bride!" Today my family is celebrating a wedding in Seattle, Washington. It's my first time ever to the state, and it's incredibly beautiful up here in the northwest.
For my cousin's wedding, I'll be wearing a knee-length, black beaded dress with nude Stuart Weitzman pumps, Chanel necklace, and Louis Vuitton rings. But perhaps my favorite part is this beautiful crinkled, metallic Yves Saint Laurent Belle du Jour clutch. The copper color is stunning and is more discreet than the patent leather options. The YSL logo is only there if you look closely!
This originally was a YSL soon-to-be-logo-change panic purchase, and I plan on perhaps getting a few more small pieces before the YSL logo truly goes away. These will be great collection pieces to have in the years to come.
What have you worn to summer weddings?
