My friend, "A," is quite the fashionista and we've been shopping buddies together since we were little. So it was absolutely fate that I'd pick up this limited edition beauty from her local Chanel boutique. Read more!

Lust. It's exactly what I've been feeling for Chanel's recent So Black collections. I missed out on the So Black Jumbo classic flap. And recently missed out on the So Black Chevron bags. Needless to say, I was pretty bummed out. Read more!
On a recent trip to Nantucket, I brought out my white accessories in full-force! One of my favorite pieces I brought on the trip with me is this Marc Jacobs Sophia bag.
When I was a young, burgeoning fashionista, one of my family members gifted me a Limited Edition Marc Jacobs Sophia pochette in antique white. The Sophia bag was produced as one of the Marc Jacobs classic bags like the Stella, Cammie, Venetia, and Multi-Pocket.
I treasured the bag and would wear it all the time, of course minding the bag so it wouldn't get dirty. The bag looked almost exactly like the one pictured in this post, although it was its little sibling--the bag fit under my shoulder but the entirety of the bag was covered by my arm. Perfect for a teen! I haven't seen the bag in years, though I'm sure it's somewhere in my parents' house.
Years later, I thought of the Sophia bag numerous times. I longed for the larger version that I was previously just too young to afford. I had almost given up the search, since I was sure I wouldn't find one for sale, let alone one in great condition.
After a very diligent session of scouring the internet, I found one on sale at a consignment shop! For being stored in a closet for over almost a decade, this vintage beauty was a great find. Not only were the tags left on it from Neiman Marcus ( it originally cost a modest $975 for a limited edition MJ collection piece), but it was without a musty closet smell.
My favorite aspects of this bag are not only its luxe white calfskin leather, but also its size, shape and minute nautical accents. This Sophia has a handle drop that fits comfortably on the shoulder. It can easily fit an iPad 2 or 3 along with a book, wallet, MP3 player, and other essentials. From the buttery leather to the details such as the hardware, limited edition nameplate, and the milky-yellow suede interior, quality is abundant in this shoulder bag. This Sophia is my most favorite pre-loved/vintage piece that I've picked up to date!

I've been trying to wean myself off of the Vuitton monogram for a while, but I still hold some styles near and dear. Unfortunately I wasn't "in" to Louis Vuitton in 2009 when they released their limited Stephen Sprouse Roses collection.
My favorite limited edition collection to date, Vuitton Roses is a classic style that is perfect for the spring and summer. It is a fun, casual look that is coveted by many Vuitton collectors (I should know... I've been drooling over this fun print for a very long time!) I found this Speedy 30 on a reputable online consignment store and had it authenticated by two different parties before purchasing.
When it finally arrived in the mail, I was ecstatic. The roses have more of a colorful pop than in the photos I viewed and it is in very good condition.
When cared for properly, Speedy bags can mature beautifully, leaving a honeyed patina on the vachetta and the canvas becomes smooth and flexible. Compared to my first Speedy, the blue Yayoi Kusama, which is stiff with virgin leather, this aged bag is a welcomed piece in my collection.

I was cleaning out my closet a few days ago, and found this perfect tote for springtime. Released in 2011, this Longchamp Le Pliage Large Tote in the limited run of "Tree of Life" is just itching to be used in this nice bout of weather we're having!
Like most Le Pliage totes, this piece is made from nylon with leather trimming. It's the ideal bag to not worry about getting something on it as you can scrub any imperfection off with water and a washcloth. The birds are a particular favorite of mine. They're very colorful without taking away from the beauty of the tree itself.
This is one of my favorite bags because it can easily fit my 15 inch laptop, iPad, journals, books, wallet, sunglasses and other accouterments. It's the best during a rainy day since the nylon responds well to the water. While it's certainly nowhere near the caliber of a typical Celine or Saint Laurent bag, the Longchamp Le Pliage is a great piece to have in your wardrobe due to its versatility and ease of cleaning.
