Sophisticated Scribble: Botanical Notebook Collection

Besides my obsession with handbags, scarves, and shoes, there's nothing that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside than beautiful paper products. While I was out running errands yesterday, I picked up this beautiful set of paperback notebooks at one of my favorite stops, Paper Source.

Botanical Notebook Collection

Bound together with baker's twine, these ChronicleRifle Paper Co. botanical notebooks are 64 pages in length, have foil-stamped covers and are heavily inspired by vintage paper products. The notebooks are light and one of the best things about them is that they will lay flat to make writing easier. The cover is strong and its texture is wondrous! I can't wait to use these for future projects and assignments.

Prada Scrunchy Driving Moccasin

When I saw these shoes, they immediately reminded me of my aunt. Ever since I was a little girl, my aunt's style has really inspired me. She always has the cutest shoes, to-die-for handbags, and most appropriate taste in putting together an outfit. Her love for designers like Prada and Chanel, and her low-key but high class taste continues to inspire my own fashion sense. So, I had to take a picture when I saw these!

Prada shoes

Loafers...moccasins...whatever you like to call them--are my favorite kind of shoe! They are comfortable but also exude a classy, casual elegance to an outfit, especially when paired with demure clothing and handbag. Perfect for the office, no doubt. These are beautiful Prada driving moccasins in nude. The colors available are diverse--from a forest green to metallic gold, a bright pink, metallic silver, a cognac-looking brown, and black. There might be more colors, but having seen those in person, the nude and forest green were my favorites! I had to try them on, and they are extremely comfortable, providing good support. I'd recommend these without a doubt!

Who Styles It Best: Kate Spade or Marc Jacobs?

Who Styles It Best: Kate Spade or Marc Jacobs?

Running rampant in magazines and salons this season for pre-fall is the theme, urban jungle. Safari-style textures are everywhere and ready to galavant off with you, wherever you go!

Yesterday, Gilt had a great Kate Spade sale--within it was the Safari Maryanne Tote which at first glance really reminded me of Marc Jacobs's Safari Mini Stam in both name, pattern and shape.

Now, personally I'd go with Marc Jacobs on this one. The Maryanne is definitely at a better price point than the Mini Stam, but there's something so special about Marc's construction and the vividness of Marc's safari pattern. Not to mention how beautiful the leather is on the Mini Stam. If you're curious about price points of either bag, please click the appropriate piece here: Safari Maryanne Tote | Safari Mini Stam.

How about you?
