Graduation Glamour: Salvatore Ferragamo Espadrille Wedge

Graduation Glamour: Salvatore Ferragamo Espadrille Wedge

One of the most pervasive styles during both graduate and undergraduate graduation ceremonies I attended last weekend including my own :) !) was the wedge heel. Though I didn't wear these to either ceremony and opted for flats instead (the grass was moist with leftover rain and morning dew), wedges were everywhere!

These Ferragamo Espadrille wedge heels are like all Ferragamo shoes I've ever worn:  incredibly comfortable. With great cushioning and support for your foot, the heel is not only reliable but also comfortable as it is outfitted with a stylish canvas exterior. Available in black, blue, brown and beige, these are sure to add to any summer ensemble!

Do you own a pair of Espadrille-style wedges? What do you think of the trend?

Salvatore Ferragamo Black/Porcelain Ballerina Flat

Literally one of the coolest purchases I've made in a while are these lovely Ferragamo ballerina flats!

Outfitted in black patent leather with perforated porcelain geometrics, these are instant-classy shoes that can make a casual outfit chic and a dressy outfit incredibly formal. What makes these flats summer-ready is that they're made with perforated leather. Basically your feet get wonderful ventilation; no-sweat flats! I've always compared Ferragamos to bedroom slippers, but this pair truly is the most comfortable I've ever worn.

Missoni Fabric Ballet Flats

To follow my hint about becoming more obsessed with shoes lately... What a way to add a dash of excitement to an outfit!

What's amazing about these Missonis is that you're able to match whatever color is in the shoe to your outfit or other accessories--again, truly versatile! These are incredibly comfortable and with time really become flexible after a few times out and about.

Derby-Style: Louis Vuitton Fleurus Thong in Ivoire

What a great way to ring in the summer--Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby!  These leather and patent leather beauties make you feel like you're a beautiful Greek Goddess or even rogue and stylish like Khaleesi from Game of Thrones.

These Louis gladiators, lovingly crafted with both leather and patent leather, bring such a comfortable fit for the summer. The flat heel easily bends as you walk, making it the perfect shoe to wear out to a festival or out shopping. The little flowers lining the top of the shoe give homage to the classic Louis Monogram; the colors of those flowers are available in Ivoire (white; shown here) or in Framboise (dark pink).  These are my prized summer 2012 shoes! Bring it on, summer!

Who Styles It Best: Tory Burch or Louis Vuitton?

Who Styles It Best: Tory Burch or Louis Vuitton?

Following Spring's lilac trend, there are some striking S/S 2012 looks for fashion labels such as Tory Burch and Louis Vuitton.

Both of these heels (the Tory Burch Printed Beverly High Heel Pump and the Louis Vuitton Tuileries Wedge Sandal in Violet/Rose) have purple and blue colors, accenting cute geometric shapes. Obviously, they differ as the LV is a wedge heel and the Tory Burch is a more traditional heel. Yet they are incredibly similar, aesthetically.

Personally, I tend to lean more towards the Louis Vuitton sandals. Not just because they seem to be my current go-to label, but I'm absolutely in love with wedge heels and the sandal itself is so lovely. The Tuileries make me long for summer like nothing else.  Not that the Printed Beverlys aren't great--the bow is simply amazing (i.e. I wish I could be speeding away on a Vespa wearing those beauties), but there's something special about the Louis Vuitton that just pulls my heartstrings.

Which heel is your favorite?
